Thanks Angie! As you can probably imagine, I had a LOT of fun putting this one together! The Bridgerton dances really are something else. I loved the one in season 3 where Benedict was overwhelmed (I think in a good way 😂) by the strong new woman he met and they switched dance roles so she was leading him! So clever. Bring on the masked ball (too soon to start a countdown? 🤔)
James Norton as Prince A, oh my. And I loved all the dancing scenes, the one at the ball, obvs, but also Natasha joining in peasant dancing around Christmas. The new Bridget Jones, which is brilliant, has some dancing where mature women are just going for it, which I love to see.
Oh my indeed, Charlie! VERY good casting. And you’re right about there being so many more dancing scenes. Isn’t there one with Natasha’s father busting some moves too? Haven’t seen BJ yet, but I’m glad to hear you recommend it!
Loved it! 🤣 I love how they're playing opposite to (staged) type too. I also found an apology dance (with bonus Jon Hamm wrapped in a picnic blanket!). Thanks again, Janey!
Thanks Janey, I'm immediately off to investigate this! I'm a huge fan of Tennant and Sheen (separately and together!) and think I've only been put off GO by the fantasy-ness of it. I think I'd actually love it!
Oh it is utterly fabulous...they are an absolute dream-team aren't they! I can easily while-away half an hour watching out-takes on YouTube - and I'm no fan of YouTube
Thank you 😘 This one was nothing but fun to put together! You know I’m going to cheer you on to read it! 😂💪🏻 The BBC adaptation is very good and definitely a good entry point ❤️
Very good question! Normally I’m sure you can guess I’m a book first kind of girl, but feeling engaged with the story after watching the TV adaptation might help you plough on through the more stodgy sections of the book (aka the war bits! 😂)
Thank you, Annette! I totally agree, James Norton was utterly Andrei. It’s funny, before you read W&P, you think it will be a once and done thing. A bucket list achievement you can tick off. But I’ve reread once now and definitely will again.
Only just got to this but what a joyful read. The Bridgerton dance extravaganzas do it for me every time 💃🏼

Yeah, the 'apology' dance 😂😂😂
The pastiche in the bookshop in series 2 of Good Omens is priceless...

Lovely post as ever, Claire. Maybe I should read/watch War and Peace!
Thank you 😘 This one was nothing but fun to put together! You know I’m going to cheer you on to read it! 😂💪🏻 The BBC adaptation is very good and definitely a good entry point ❤️
Should I watch or read first?

Wonderful read.
James Norton really was the perfect Prince Andre. I must re-read War & Peace!

Another wonderful piece Claire, very cleverly put together, the videos well chosen to express your thoughts. XX
